Casual Tutor Mathematics (Key Stages 3 & 4, with the possibility of KS5)

We are seeking applications from committed, hard-working individuals who have the desire to support children to achieve their best.

At Ripley St Thomas CE Academy, we are very proud of the excellent results achieved by our pupils in Mathematics. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated and talented Mathematics department.

We seek someone who can effectively support selected pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.

We welcome applications from people who:

  • hold an A level mathematics qualification
  • are able to demonstrate that they can work with individual pupils to help them achieve their target grades
  • have subject specific knowledge of mathematics at KS4 (and 5 if possible)

Teaching Assistant

Start Date: 7 January 2019

We have 2 part-time Teaching Assistant posts on offer. Each post is for 18.5 hrs per week and they are being offered as a combination of two roles: 5 hrs at Teaching Assistant Level 2a and 13.5 hrs at Teaching Assistant Level 2b. The only difference between the two posts is the days and times  to be worked.  Please see the job descriptions in the Application Pack for further information.

Teaching Assistant Application Pack 

Along with your application form, please also provide a letter (of no more than 2 sides, using Tahoma 11 font) outlining your experience relative to the job description and explaining what you will bring to the role. Please specify on the application form whether you are applying for Teaching Assistant Post 1, Teaching Assistant Post 2, or, if you have no preference, Teaching Assistant Post 1 or 2.
